Why a new blog?

Well, it is January after all, a time for resolving to do things! This year I resolved that I would read every book on the Modern Library's 100 Best Novels List. If I include both the reader's list and publisher's list it is well over 100 books, so it will probably take more than a year, even though I have read a number of them in the past. Plus, I get distracted and read all sorts of things in between... Mostly I am just interested to see how many books I really read in a year, and what that looks like. I think it will be fun, mostly for me, but you might learn a little something along the way. I'll try not to give away any major plot points, or give a big spoiler alert if I do. Beyond that, I promise no objectivity, I love to read and I am very opinionated about books... Enjoy!
